With Mission to Burnley, we gained unprecedented access to Burnley FC, taking audiences inside the boardroom, dressing room and inner workings of the club through an extraordinary season of relegation, rebuild and Championship triumph. The Times praised the series for its “two contrasting star characters”, while The Guardian highlighted its “rare insight into the pressures on the owner of a close-knit club”. Audiences responded strongly too, with the four Series 1 episodes achieving an impressive 8.2/10 average rating on IMDb. The success of the series led Sky to commission a second series, allowing us to continue our uniquely close-up look at life inside the club.
